Since becoming Catholic, I have often been dismayed to find that certain traces of atheism still remain in me. By this, I do not mean doubts with regards to God’s existence. I never had any. It’s quite different to be a ‘cradle atheist’ than what I might call a ‘proper atheist,’ who as an adult has made a philosophical decision against God.
